Our Love Story

In the distant haze of 2007, amidst the innocence of childhood, our story began. I remember the moment vividly as if it were yesterday. She stood there, a beauty that even my young eyes couldn't miss. I kept contemplating what I could do for her to remember me as she was leaving Ghana soon, so I gave her my favorite ring. Today I will say I was lucky to have that ring on me that day, it happened to be the one thing that kept our friendship alive all these years. 

As the years rolled by, life took us on separate journeys, yet the memory of that beautiful woman lingered in my heart. And then, as if by divine intervention, our paths converged once more. We met again in 2018, and this time I made haste in letting my intentions be known. I am always grateful for Eotree who witnessed my plea for Sedem’s love and helped seal our connection by planning a double date night in the bustling city of Accra. Fond memories of us dancing the night away still amaze me till date. 

“When Love Takes Flight”

As she returned to Zambia, our connection faced its first true test. With her departure to the field, communication became a challenge, and our friendship hung in the balance. Days stretched into silence, leaving me yearning for her presence. 

Her message lit up my phone one day, bringing with it a wave of relief and joy. It was a lifeline, a reassurance that she was safe and well. From that moment on, we navigated the unpredictable terrain of our communication woes, finding solace in the moments of good network coverage that graced the village at certain hours.

Despite the obstacles, our bond only grew stronger.  On a fateful day in May, I made a decision that would change my life forever. Overcoming my fear of heights, I boarded a plane bound for Zambia, propelled by the magnetic pull of love. As the plane soared through the skies, my heart raced with anticipation, every mile bringing me closer to the one who had captured my soul. And when I finally set foot on Zambian soil, the world seemed to stand still as our eyes met at the airport. 

At that moment, surrounded by the warmth of her embrace, I knew that every trial and hurdle had been worth it. For love knows no bounds, and in the end, it is the courage to take that leap of faith that leads us to the greatest adventures of all.
